2006 League Table

WhichGreen exists to help you choose the best green supplier you can, so you have the best chance of actually making a difference with your electricity bill.

At WhichGreen, we believe the best way to measure who's green and who's not is to look at who's building new sources of renewable energy. After all, only by building new capacity can we hope to reduce carbon emissions and fight climate change.

Some energy companies are far bigger than others, so we thought the best way to measure a supplier's green credentials was to look at how much new build they were developing per customer. New generation is based upon the Ofgem commission date of the renewable energy project.

That works out as a simple measure: how many pounds each supplier spent per customer, per year, on building new sources of green energy.

This is the third year the WhichGreen table has been running.

As ever, we'll leave you to draw your own conclusions.
