Energy Supplier Rating
There are two ways to use the interactive tables below -
Roll over any one of the categories, from A to G - to see
which Energy Companies are in it. Or roll over an Energy Company name to see which category they are in.
These rankings are based on the average amount spent each year by energy suppliers on building new sources of green electricity (things like windmills). It shows you how much of what you spend with them goes to the frontline – the real commitment each supplier actually makes. And these are long term average figures, making this a consistent story.
The blue line marks roughly the level of spending that suppliers need to make, just to meet their minimum legal obligations, under the government's Renewables Obligation. Category E, is the bare minimum. So you'd expect them all to meet or exceed that, wouldn't you?
The table above is based on the ten year period from 2004 to 2014.
